Save Alot
December 21, 2010

As I was driving home from church this past Sunday, my wife called and asked me to pick up some milk.  We've been through several gallons since our son came home from college!  So, I stopped at the first store I saw, which happened to be Save Alot, a no frills, discount type of store.

In Matthew 1:21, it says that Jesus will save His people from their sins.  For me personally, I'm real glad Jesus saves us from our sins.  Notice it says "sins", plural, meaning even after we're saved, we still sin.  But Jesus has already paid the price for our sins with His blood, every sin that we or the whole world would commit.  Hallelujah!  You're covered!  Glory to God!

Wait, that's not all…the Greek word for save is "sodzo", which means to save from danger, emotional turmoil, fear, sickness, hell, slavery or addictions, and from poverty.  Now that's the true meaning of "Save Alot".

So, this Christmas remember the most precious gift we could ever receive is our salvation, and all that's wrapped up in that one gift.  The whole package!  You got it all!  Just receive it and give thanks to Jesus, and declare that this is going to be the best Christmas ever, for you and your family.  Enjoy, be blessed, and rejoice!  Merry Christmas.
