Deja Blue

Philippians 4:4 - "Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say rejoice."
Well, here we go "again", how sweet it is!! You know what I'm about to say, "What a game, what a Super Bowl!" Second time in four years, or as Yogi Berra once said, "It's déjà vu all over again"...or what the New York Post is saying, it's "déjà blue" all over again. The Dictionary defines déjà vu as a feeling that one has seen or heard something before, something overly familiar, or reliving a certain experience over again. Wow, am I having "déjà blue".
I'm not rubbing it in people, I'm just reliving the sweet memory of victory, and it is sweet! Just think about it, four years ago, the Giants sneak into the playoffs. The same thing happens this year, they just make it in again. Four years ago, they win four games on the road, this year they win three. Four years ago they are underdogs to the New England Patriots, this year underdogs again by 2 1/2 points to...the New England Patriots. Four years ago, the Giants come back in the fourth quarter courtesy of an amazing catch by David Tyree, this year another fourth quarter comeback spurred on by an amazing catch by Mario Manningham. Four years ago a sack of Tom Brady on the second to the last play, this year, sacked again on one of the final plays. And finally, a Hail Mary four years ago, and yes, you guessed it, a Hail Mary knocked down in the end zone this year. Yes, it's "déjà blue" all over again!
In Philippians 4:4, the Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, gives us winning advice, "rejoice in the Lord". Notice the prefix "re" followed by "joice", or in other words, be glad and enjoy over and over again. Paul said to "rejoice in the Lord always, and again [by the way] I say, rejoice". He's telling us to keep repeating, rehearsing, re-speaking, re-declaring the wonderful works of the Lord. Remind yourself of every victory you have experienced over the past month, and rehearse it over and over again.
Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice! I'm rejoicing! It's "deja blue" all over again!
