The Abun-dance by Natalie Fortunato
January 27, 2012
John 1:16 For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another {and} spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing {and} even favor upon favor {and} gift [heaped] upon gift.
When you're spending time with the Lord, did you ever have a desire to get up and dance before Him? Okay, don't press the close button, please keep reading! One morning last summer, I decided I was going to dance during my worship time, in the privacy of my home office, of course. I searched the word dance on my iPod and the word abundance came up. I never noticed that before. What a great idea! Dance because God's favor is on my life...in abundance!
I shared this with my husband and we both got a big kick out of it. After that, when God would bless us, I would say to him, "We gotta do the Abun-dance!". Now that was a sight to see! It's a lot of fun praising God for His goodness. We have so much to celebrate.
Soon lyrics started swirling around in my head, so I asked Daniel Pena, the Worship Leader at Faith Fellowship World Outreach Ministries in Ft. Myers, Florida to please put them to music. Hence, The Abun-dance song.
This Sunday at our church is our Super Seed Sunday, when our church family brings their best offering to sow into the Kingdom of God as a first fruits for 2012. God provides the seed, and we get to sow it, then He multiplies the seed! One dear sister asked if she could sow her seed early, she couldn't wait to get that super seed in the ground. We look forward to this time each year...AND this time we will celebrate with The Abun-dance song!
I encourage you to sow a first fruits seed into your local church this Sunday too. Ask God to show you what to sow, write out the check, hold it before the Lord and worship Him with your seed. If you want to, click on this link to The Abun-dance song and dance before the Lord with Your seed in faith, knowing that it will come back to you pressed down, shaken together, running over, abundantly!
The Abun-dance Natalie Fortunato/Daniel Peña
I’m blessed to be a blessing, everywhere I go His favor is upon me, He wants the world to know
He meets my every need, far above my highest dream His grace abounding towards me so abundantly
Joy inexpressible, full of glory, hands lifted high For all He’s done for me So I Dance!
So I dance, so I dance. The abun-dance So I dance, so I dance. The abun-dance Dance!
Out of the windows of heaven, comes more than I can hold To those in need around me, I give from the overflow
Like my father up in heaven, gave it all for me He gave us His son Jesus, to give us life more abundantly
When I give it comes back to me On waves of victory It comes back, pressed down, shaken together Running over abundantly
