John 1:14 - "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."
I recently drove through my old "stomping grounds" in Eatontown, NJ and passed by one of our family's frequent stops, the Grand Chinese Buffet. It sure brought back memories...for only $8.95 you could eat all the dumplings, spare ribs, chicken, lo mien, crabs, fish, and almost every imaginable Chinese delight you want, including desserts! Yes, we ate all we could eat, we left barely able to walk, which is why we nicknamed it the "Grand Chinese Barf-eh". Well, we eventually stopped going there and eating like that in general, but when I think of being "full", that place comes to mind.
In John 1:14, the Apostle John is speaking of the Word becoming flesh, speaking of Jesus, and he goes on to state that He was full of grace. Grace means favor, unmerited favor, and supernatural ability. When you received Jesus, you received this grace, it's on the inside of you. You are full of favor, and God's supernatural ability, you are literally "stuffed". There is so much on the inside of you, most of which you have not even tapped into yet.
In verse 16, the Amplified Bible says, "For out of His fullness [abundance], we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.
Praise God! You're stuffed! AND you can go back to the "buffet" as much as you want, to get whatever you want or need, whenever you want. It's all there, it's all in you, the man said, "You're full of grace"! Tap into it! How? By faith. Take it. Whatever God asks you to do, whatever challenges you face, for any situation that seems impossible...the buffet is open and it never closes. Take it today, your full of grace, favor and ability!
